Thanks to the efforts of the Madras Hash, the govt has made it easy for overseas hashers to obtain Visas for visiting India. They are called e-Tourist Visas. Click here for more info.

The nearest airports to Kodaikanal are Madurai (120 km away), Coimbatore (170 km) and Trichy (200 km).  None of these 3 airports have e-Tourist Visa facilities, so you need to have a visa sticker endorsed by the Indian High Commission in your respective country beforehand.  Chennai/Bangalore airports have the e-Tourist Visa facility. 

Nearest stations are Kodi Road (trains from Chennai and Bangalore stop here) and Madurai Junction, which is further away.

Overnight trains are available from both Madras and Bangalore to Kodi Road (KQN). Most probably the pick up and drop from this station will be arranged for hashers arriving in a large group on Aug 6th early morning.
